Airport’s recovery is now finally underway and AiQ are fortunate to be supporting several UK and International airports. From everyday operational requirements to strategic planning projects, this summer our team are helping airports on the path to a successful recovery.
End to End Level of Service & Demand Assessment
During the early summer months, the AiQ team completed a full end to end terminal level of service and demand assessment project for an international airport based in the Far East. With COVID restrictions preventing us from travelling to the airport, this was our first fully virtual project. As an agile business with the ability to quickly change our processes, our experienced operational airport planners found creative ways to fully immerse themselves into the airport. Our years of stakeholder management experience provided a huge benefit, enabling us to virtually liaise and gain consensus with all parties and nationalities involved. The commitment of our team ensured this project was a success, supporting the airport on their infrastructure option decisions. Well done team!
Passenger Automation and Baggage Analytics
More recently we are working with a large European hub airport, supporting them with passenger automation and baggage analytics to inform on strategic developments. This analysis and modelling project followed on from a security resource optimization project undertaken during the peak of the pandemic helping to manage and save operating costs.
Landside Bus Analysis and Immigration Demand Assessment
Other contracts this month include working with two international regional airports on specific projects. The first is a detailed routing analysis to support a tender submission for a Landside Bus contract and the other, an immigration level of service and demand assessment.
Airport Recovery Tool
For all these projects our operational airport planners used our bespoke in-house modelling tool, TransvisionAiR® and our Airport Recovery Tool ARTΔ. ARTΔ was developed by our technical director and his team during the start of the pandemic to assist airport managers with fast and accurate analysis across the entire airport to make smart operational decisions. This powerful tool enables airport planners to use their flight schedules to provide a quick and clear holistic vision of up to 18 airport processes to rapidly determine and optimise passenger, baggage, and cargo flows, resource, and equipment needs.
